Once the information and technology solutions are identified, TagStone’s experienced technology and project staff not only get the technology in place, but they make sure that the customer is getting the information and the business results they need.

TagStone provides comprehensive project management capabilities that combine a powerful, proven methodology, aligned with industry best practices and delivered by professional Project Managers.

While taking a structured approach to project planning and implementation, our project managers ensure that the solution deliverables are well defined with agreed upon and achievable milestones.

The Project Management approach is organized into five distinct activity groups during the project lifecycle.

Initiation

This involves creating a clear scope and objective for each project considering requirements of all key stakeholders.

Planning

Once the requirements are understood, the next step is to establish a Work Breakdown Structure - the specific tasks required to accomplish the project objectives. Time estimates are made for each task using various estimating methods. Dependencies are determined and a Gantt Chart created.

A detailed Project Plan consisting of detailed Scope, Acceptance Criteria, Schedule, Roles and Responsibility, and Quality Assurance procedures documents. These documents become the baseline by which the project is managed, tracked, and measured.

Implementation

This phase includes deployment of the core technology and site components, transitioning of the project to operations and support, and obtaining final client approval of the project.

The Implementation team creates deployment plans, installs, configures, and tests hardware and software components for the environment, deploys the core technology and completes the agreed scope of work. The team also creates and documents procedures and defines checkpoints to help the operations team monitor and maintain the solution.

Monitoring & Control

This involves continuous monitoring of project progress and taking appropriate actions to maintain focus on project objectives.

Acceptance & Closing

The Acceptance Testing is carried as per agreed test procedures and criteria to verify completeness of project scope and formally signoff the project.

Change Management

During the project either party may request (in writing) additions, deletions, or modifications to the agreed project scope.  Upon a request for a change, TagStone shall submit a report describing the change, including the impact of the change on the project schedule, cost and expenses. TagStone uses a five-step model for the change control process.

  • Define: Identify and document the Change Request.
  • Evaluate: Assess Schedule and Cost impact, Estimate required effort and prioritize.
  • Approve: Accept or Reject the Change Request by appropriate Authority.
  • Implement: Assign responsibility, update baseline information, track and report status.
  • Monitor: Check for correctness, log and report progress status.
