Vehicles Service Centers

Dealerships in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) are among the largest, most complex and most advanced in the world. Consulting firm McKinsey & Co. found that top-performing dealers dedicate policies and practices to increasing customer loyalty. Heading McKinsey’s list of ways to ensure customer retention and repeat business is: customer-friendly service facilities with conveniences like easy check-in and efficient total service time. In MENA, that means being able to translate regional challenges into opportunities for delivering the very best service.  Service centers in particular, face problems in different parts of their operations starting by the time taken to locate a customer’s vehicle (could reach up to 30 minutes) as well as bottle necks in the operations that lead to reduced productivity.

Vehicles Service Centers:

Upon entering the service facility, vehicles are assigned a real-time location system (RTLS) capable tag. The tag is associated with a unique vehicle identifier (typically a license plate number or VIN). After the vehicle is tagged a customer service agent issues a work order.

Once the check-in process has been completed TagFLEET tracks and traces the vehicle through the service process. At each step, the dealer’s management system is updated with the vehicles location information. TagFLEET organizes, manages, and displays current and historical vehicle servicing data in real-time and on demand.

As servicing nears completion TagFLEET can alert operations teams to contact clients to ensure quick delivery. Prior to leaving the facility the vehicle goes through the exit process: TagFLEET talks with the dealer’s finance system to determine if a vehicle has been cleared for exit. The system can open security barriers automatically or display personalized messages to clients to thank them for their business.

Once the cleared-for-exit check is completed the tag is removed from the vehicle to be reused, and the cycle begins again. Vehicle information is stored by TagFeet for historical reporting and analysis.
