Dubai Police (TagSHIELD product case study)

Dubai Police partners with TagStone

Bullet-proof management of weapons

Dubai Police needed to manage thousands of critical and potentially dangerous assets, accessible to over 15,000 system users. The system was required to span over 13 geographically distinct locations with one fully integrated security management system.

Challenges:

Dubai Police needed to ensure that only the assigned system users had access to the assets, and that each user was authorized to use the asset. Once assigned to the correct user, Dubai Police needed to ensure that the assets were traceable after being checked out by the user, as well as ensuring that the assets returned were the same as those given. This process can be very time-consuming, and so Dubai Police needed not only a solution that would increase the security of the facility, but one that would do so quickly and efficiently.

The primary objectives of TagSHIELD were twofold:

  • Identify and authenticate all critical assets and users to monitor and manage all critical assets at all times.
  • Provide instantaneous identification of assets and users, thereby minimizing the time and effort required in receiving and returning assets.

The solution:

TagSHIELD helped develop and implement an integrated security management system to identify, authenticate and monitor all assets and all users at all times.

The Results:

Faster and more accurate weapons authorizing, locating, receiving, and issue processes. The solution can be customized to meet specific weapons tracking process, rules and integration requirements.
